#Curiosity Hacked Summer Camps 2015

CURIOSITY HACKED EDUCATOR WORKSHOP
JUNE 15TH – 17TH OR JUNE 29TH – JULY 1ST ($30)
Educators can spend three days with us, learning about our approach to creating/supporting a more learner-centered classroom through mentorship, hands-on making, and hacking to integrate skill building into existing curriculum. Participants will be gaining new skills and get training on equipment to enhance their own visions as well as those of their students. This workshop is free (thanks to a generous grant) and CH will offer a Professional Development certificate, space is limited. Fee confirms your seat and lunch included. Register!

2D TO 3D SKILL BUILDING HACK
JULY 13TH – 17TH ($325)
In this camp, young hackers will become proficient in Inkscape and CAD as well as the elements of design, and then be able to accurately produce a 3D design that uses 2d parts, either on the laser cutter, 3D printer or another machine. This week is about how to make cool 3d stuff using 2d parts. Kids will learn about making designs, choosing materials, joining parts (where your work first becomes 3D!) and fabrication. All kids will leave with a variety of projects and a badge! (ages 7-14) Register!

HARRY POTTER HACK
JULY 20TH – 24TH ($325)
Join us for a week immersed in our very own Hogwarts hackerspace! Wand making, potions, magical creatures, herbology, charms, quidditch and more- all from the magical maker perspective! Gain new skills and find your hacker patronus! We even created a special badge! (ages 6-14) Register!

RAINBOW DAY CAMP PARTNERSHIP HACK
JULY 27TH – 31ST ($325)
In an exciting partnership between CH and Rainbow Day Camp, gender expansive kids (5+) will build their making and hacking skills in electronics, woodworking,printmaking, and more using a variety of tools and machines. Kids will also learn how to integrate these skills to direct their own projects and determine their own visions in a fun, supportive environment. Register!

HACKERLING CIRCUIT HACK
AUGUST 3RD – 7TH ($375)
Kids (ages 8-14) will complete an entire Arduino-based Hackerling Circuit, learning and expanding their skills in soldering, electronic components, and programming. They will also learn how to modify their HC’s to perform a variety of functions. A great foundation project! Young Hackers will take home thier project for continued modification and earn the Hackerling Circuit badge. Register!
All camps are 10am-3pm.
Any camps under-enrolled are subject to be replaced by a camp that has filled and has a wait list. After care may be available, if needed.
